Writing poetry, for me, is about thinking deeply about the things that don’t always make sense.

Below is a small collection of poetry and reflective writing pieces that I’m currently developing into a book, planned for release in late, 2027.

MESSAGES

Messages are received and conceived all day and night.

Some come in flight, some in the lights,
and some in an electronic might.

When you shop, many messages become aware,
overjoyed with flare and dare.

Messages, messages, messages of information
all day and night.

Gathering energy in the divine matrix.

Circling around in information
when eyebrows frown.

What you do with messages is the message.

How you react in the next moment comes in.

Always flowing all day,
messages from everything —

the skies, the birds, the water movement,
the wind, the sun, the tide and moon.

What message am I trying to convey
in this written play?

To take it all in and grow with your day,
that’s what they say.

I heard the message today.

SILENCE

Is there ever silence,

even in deep meditation?

Energy, movement and frequency persist,

moving around light waves.

There is always some form of sound.

Even in silence, the wind speaks,

within the day walls
of endless silence.

THURSDAY ISLAND

Wind every day.

Leading me astray.

Having to pay.

I lie, lie, lie on the sand.

With silver fish under my feet

And a beautiful woman linking at my heart,

To the roots of song,

That when mosquitoes bite,

I don’t lay in brightness,

but with myth from the wind.

I find myself cuddling within.

I’ve tried myself like a bin
that drags a sin toward a moment
grasping all the sea salt
toward the time that discovers
the past of this great spirit land.

TIME
4-01-2026

Time has no essence without a shadow.

Time has no essence without light.

It’s hard to tell at night, when grasses are wet,
and marsupials trace thirteen moons.

Do the seasons have reasons for other times?

Twelve months they say in the Western calendar.
Is that to do with time?

Who made up the numbers to make time anyway?

Was it the shapes in the stars,
or the people drinking late at bars?

I see time from afar.

Who makes us move forward,
which isn’t present? Which isn’t able?

Who made a time lieutenant?

Running to meetings here and there,
this time, that time — I’m late, what time is it in any state?

We are all moving with time,
and death makes us fear the future and its measures,
its treasures, its beginning and ending.

Time is something we don’t have.

Not in age.
Not in oneness.
Not in the moment.

No time.

NAXIOUS

Feeling anxious, no space within

Got to be courageous, its contagious.

Moment by moment, what do I want?

Feeling like this is an old rant.

These ants in my pants.

Acting, projecting,

Suspecting the ego coming in.

Is that the sin within?

Throw it in the bin.

Throw it all in the bin.

Start again from within.

I’m in.

In im.  Standing straight-chinned.

Throw it all in the bin.

Start again from within.

No snoring.

Heart pounding with love.

Throw it all in the bin.

Start again from within.

Connected as one.

Throw it all in the bin.

What bin?

Start again from within.

Naxious.

TIME WOULD TELL

Waiting in line to see what’s true.

Pushing up a hill to see a sunrise.

What would be that ultimate prize?

Show me, give me that mud of surprise.

Anxious blood of rivers moving through souls.

For floods could spread with nervous states.

And light refractions may shine through leaves late.

Moments don’t want the grey to stay; others tend to pray.

Feed me the hay of the day. Don’t stay, I say.

Thunder aroused by seas, lightning screamed at wiry rabbits.

Science was making its own matter.

New matter, no tatter, its own matter of factuals.

For the time of the future was here to tell.

For the time of the moment would be, to be.

For time is not time if you are not in time.

Time would tell.

VIEW FROM TANNA CAFÉ

View with clues, in moments of truth while looking at the sky’s blue.

Sitting here breathing, conceiving, believing in each moment of time that runs by.

Birds sing, with a faint ring, as ocean waves sound like home in spring.

Smells of coffee and tea, panoramic views, and natural waterways.

But sun pines and native rhythms rhyme, all in line with the heart, then mind.

Tanna Café, second day in Vanuatu, clues within views.

Clues within views, tell me what is true.

It’s you.

MORNING

Waking up this morning,

I had dreams in my head,
lightning strikes of visions and memories.

Is it the psychic realm?
The beam of light when we die.

When we conspire to our endings.

I’m not pretending in my dreams.

Where do you go?

Yawning, shifting into consciousness,
what sign are they giving?

All I had were objects, shadows,
with no colours that I can remember.

It’s the end of November.

A song could ring true.

Maybe that is the rhythm?

To align myself with my current timelines.

My heart feeling more today
than yesterday.

For it never stays just one way.

Light beams still travelling around today.

Exploring places with no faces.

Moon and sun at once in the sky.

Ocean reality, wind eclipse.

Its all a dream in the mist,

Physical body a drift.

MYSTIFIED

Full moon might,

Seasonal calendar of the sunlight,

Wind sending messages through the land,

Lend me your ears.

Moments that have space create the pace.

There is no race,

Fumbling and rumbling with my shoelace.

People hiding behind their face.

Elaborating to make people feel happy,

In my mind, it holds no state.

It’s mystified in fate.

RAISE THE PENNY

Raising a penny to hopefully find many.

Nothing in pockets or socks of joy.

Searching streets for park rats and bats.

For the path is unclear through the dream of night.

I see you with many a penny.

You hand over a piece of silver for many.

Something to be returned.

Something to be given.

Many still digging for gold near the mines.

For the search is to find what is right for many.

Give me an object for a service.

For something I don’t want from so many.

For many grew upon trees one day.

But is this really how I want my tree to grow?

Give me a penny, raise many, many,

and I will tell you a story — a story of milk and honey.

WIND OF THE TREES

Wind through the gum trees,

Shadow-thanks leaves

Ants fleeing the scene,

Being but the birds are talking.

Gundagai, home of the birds that

I can hear and see to be,,

The rhythms of morning lights,

Blue sky from the last night.

Ears rustling through the leaves.

Perception, reception, direction, the wind moves through the land,

The home of the bird, Gundagai.

I feel it, I sense it, I’m being in it.

Wind of the trees.

RESTING

How does one rest, when the moment doesn’t rest.

I confess it all, barons of trouble in kava-less with stress.

I confess it all, made to rest is a mess.

I do confess. Stop. It’s true. Moments run by.

Opportunities, for what is an opportunity that flies high,

that means nothing to the sky.

Made to rest.

Stop. Fast healing from infections.

Inspections of how to rest, letting it go,

Moments are everywhere, moments are coming at you,

Let it rest,

Rest.

Moment by moment,

Unaware of the abrasion,

Now aware of the infestation,

Changing my holiday direction.

Is it needing affection, is it right foot complexion,

It’s time to visit lions that are caged within.

I feel it has been tame with everything that isn’t the same.

Upon heart, sun peering through curtains decrease the stress of heart,

Give me the light to heal the cut within,

Eating away my flesh from infestion,

Through lights and the obersvation fight come insight.

Heal the cut and my skin.

And when one is resting,

perplexing time, we feel that time is longed.

That is the rhythm of life.

That’s when you rest,

when more moments arrive,

and you can choose when ones are good and bad.

Made to rest.

Give less.

Get the rest.

Give less.

Confess.

It flows with more time.

Rest.

HUNGOVER AT THE AIRPORT

Waiting hungover at the airport in Vanuatu.

Reflecting, directing, suggesting and playing within.

The surreal hot air is heightened,

alive in its offering.

Giving a ring, a ring ring.

Some part of me waving and complaining

about the song of going home.

The whisky was tricking me.

For at 4am it felt good.

For at the end I felt like a wandering star.

I want to confront the flow.

Access the tidal heart, loud with sun,

the painful sea, and the cultures.

For in the moment at the kava bar,

after seven drinks,

a young girl called me a devil.

This threw me.

It imbalanced me.

Maybe that is why I’m hungover today.

That night, wandering back to the villa in reflection,

the spirits arrived and I had to protect myself.

For her projection carried racist undertones of spirit.

She did something to me.

Made me aware.

I was up for the dance,

which made me reconnect in despair.

Now at the airport hungover,

thoughts of every kind were blundering.

Time moving voices through the hue.

It was the colours rich amidst the blur.

The people so colourful in their own colours.

SUNSET

Sun, respect the mighty sun.

O sun, thy uprise me.

As it says goodbye.

How many thoughts, stories, pictures and paintings of you.

Every day you are seen.

Every day you show up and say hello, then goodbye.

The sun setting and lifting within me.

Always good energy wherever you stand still.

Sun, O sun, do I see.

Shakespeare, the rich and poor,

all see what you see.

All year round with ancient seas,

Hald sometimes bitten by moon shadows

a miracle through now and then.

By the time I see the pen,

its standing still.

Sunset all night.

Through the photographic mind,

standing in the statement of time.

Its all in you, the sun setting,

and hallucinating through its core.

Staring at it, right in the middle.

Holding it for 10 minutes as the horizon closes in.

A shipmen’s tale awaits you,

healing the soul within,

not blinking, concentrating within,

For through the colours that we see and be.

DREAMS OF REALITY

There were lucid colours and drifting smoke surrounding a strange visual space when she appeared and walked towards me. A bird flew past — an eagle or a raven — though I couldn’t see it clearly through the haze. The woman looked at me with piercing blue eyes, eyes some would call primitive, ancient, untouched by modern time itself. Smoke wandered through the clouds while everything stood still around her.

I tried to see her face. Then the clouds warmed and a green light shone from above like some cosmic awakening. I felt a heartbeat echo with the sound of tribal drums somewhere deep within the mountains. I searched for her again, changed direction, walked naked into a clear stream, and disappeared beneath a waterfall. Thunder shattered the sky, lightning cracked through the darkness, and suddenly everything vanished except blackness and violent flashes of white light.

I breathed heavily through the void.

Bang!

I woke alone in bed drenched in sweat. Where had she gone? Was this reality, or was I still sleeping?

My hand slid toward my groin as thoughts of the girl from my dreams flooded my mind. A morning stiffy, as they call it, had risen with the sun. Birds chirped outside the window. Did they know? Who was she? Where was she? A dream or reality — like a surreal bee searching for pollen amongst invisible flowers.

Water burst from the showerhead, and my naked body absorbed every drop. Steam climbed the walls while thoughts of her became impossible to escape. Was she part of the dream, or had the dream followed me into reality? The question conflicted me as I imagined her eyes, her skin, the silhouette of her body beneath moonlight and rain.

I turned the shower hotter.

With every drop I could visualise her more clearly — the curve of her breast, the softness of her lips, the hypnotic movement of her body as she walked toward me through smoke and mist. The room became thick with steam as I closed my eyes and saw her once again.

Then thunder rolled outside. My heartbeat answered it and connected to the rhythms of the world.

A strange sexual energy rose within me, primal and electric. Thunder sounded again, vibrating through the walls, through the floor, through my body itself. The sensation almost made me slip as desire pulsed through me like lightning searching for ground.

How was this possible? Was this another dream?

I couldn’t concentrate. Distracted by my thoughts, I turned the shower off and listened to the rain outside. The dream still lingered inside me like smoke trapped within my lungs.

Who was she? The mystery woman of my dreams.

I tried to work, but all I could think about was her. A desire to kiss her, taste her skin, lose myself with her until the night cracked open into dawn. Horny, frisky, lustful thoughts flooded my mind like Shakespeare intoxicated on moonlight wind and madness. Blood rushed toward my groin and I became erect once more.

What do they call this? A late-morning stiffy? Desire finding its way home? Where is the home?

I tried to let the feeling pass, but I could only think about those eyes. My imagination drifted again, and suddenly I was naked beside her beneath that waterfall, making love in nature like something ancient and untouched by civilisation. Water rushed over our bodies while thunder echoed across the mountains. Was this the birds and the bees, or something far older than that?

Then I woke again in my bed, sweating, my penis hard against the sheets.

I didn’t know whether I was dreaming or awake anymore.

Where am I? I thought that was real or was this another dream?

All I knew was that desire burned inside me like wildfire. Who was she? The muse my body and soul both craved.

I started thinking that dreams and reality might be the same thing. A psychic collision. A doorway between worlds. But where was she?

I ran through the streets until I reached a lake surrounded by dark grey clouds. Wind rippled across the water while distant thunder rolled through the sky. Lightning snapped overhead and birds exploded from nearby trees.

One bird swept close past me. Was it the eagle or raven from my dream?

Its eyes locked onto mine for a brief second and I felt myself disappear inside the moment. Was this real, or simply another layer of dreaming? The bird vanished into the storm, and then I heard my name being called.

I turned toward the lake. Through the pale light, a woman walked slowly toward me.

I couldn’t quite see her face.

“Did you see that bird?” she asked softly.

“Yes,” I replied. “Who are you?”

“My name’s Alice.”

Her eyes were hypnotic, wild like a fox beneath moonlight — sensual, profound, carrying stories older than language itself. Desire ignited instantly within me.

She reached out her hand to greet me. The touch felt strangely intimate, as though our skin had already met somewhere beyond memory. I tried to stay composed. I don’t usually stumble over words. But there was something about Alice — her body, her smile, her energy — that dissolved my thoughts completely.

She told me she had seen the same bird the night before. It had to be her. The woman from my dreams. Had to be.

I wanted to tell her everything, but before I could speak she smiled knowingly and whispered, “Yes… it’s me.”

I stared into her eyes and felt reality slipping sideways again. Suddenly I was beside the waterfall once more. Water crashed against stone while thunder shook the trees. A lion roared somewhere beyond the darkness. The shadows of branches twisted across the earth like spirits dancing beneath moonlight.

Then everything disappeared.

I woke again.

Damn. Another dream.

I rolled onto my side and froze. A beautiful woman was sleeping beside me. Alice. This had to be real but how did she get here.

Rain began to tumble outside while thunder shook the building. Moonlight traced across her naked skin beneath the sheets. I couldn’t tell whether this was another dream or whether reality itself had finally surrendered to fantasy.

The uncertainty aroused me in more ways than one. I breathed deeply as desire moved through my body again. The storm outside felt connected to us somehow — thunder vibrating beneath our skins. Thoughts of being inside her made me hard instantly.

I wanted her completely. Whole heartedly. Everything in my bones was wanting to be with her.

As she slept, I slowly caressed her skin, her hips, her breasts, the softness of her thighs. Her scent intoxicated me even further. Lightning flashed outside, followed by rolling thunder that echoed through the room like a warning from the gods.

Alice slowly opened her eyes. We kissed instantly. Her touch felt identical to the touch from the dreams. This had to be real. My body wanted to explore every part of hers. I slid my fingers between her legs and kissed her neck while the atmosphere around us became heavy with erotic energy.

We moved across the bed together, kissing with hunger and passion. She was a lioness, and I was the lion. Time slowed as my dreams that met reality longed to be inside her. The moment felt inevitable, written somewhere long before we ever met in history.

She guided me inside her with slow, soft movement.

Pleasure surged through us both. At first we moved gently like small waves rolling onto a midnight shore. Then deeper. Wilder. Our bodies danced together. Thunder echoed like ancient drums while I lost myself inside her completely.

The full moon appeared between drifting clouds as we stared into each other’s eyes. I felt myself falling into something infinite — not simply sex, not simply love, but some dreamlike paradise where instinct and soul became the same thing.

Was this the dream people talk about? A dream that isn’t really a dream at all? Was this the feeling of love. To be in love.

The morning sunrise slowly lit the window glass while passion carried us with every kiss, every movement, every moan blurred line between fantasy and reality. We moved through each other like fire and rain, bodies slick with sweat.

Thunder cracked again, intensifying everything. I bit softly against her nipple as desire overwhelmed us both.

Was this reality? Or the exact moment where I wake up from the dream to finally meet the real world?

As I stared into her eyes, we created an orchestra of pleasure loud enough to wake the neighbours. We climaxed together at the same moment, shaking, rattling, rock’n’rolling through the final wave of release.

If this was real, then perhaps dreams were real too. She was more than real to me.

Sweat glided down our bodies as we struggled to catch our breath. We held each other silently for a moment before sharing one long kiss and drifting back into sleep together — falling once more into another dream.

THE OCEAN

The ocean keeps talking to me.

Relieving me, seeing me, listening to me.

Its all matter.

Its all chatter.

Reflecting in the sun.

Reflecting in the fun.

Light and what it can do for one self.

To see an awe to see the light in all.

The ocean keeps us talking, hearing us.

Seeing us.

The blue changes wiuth the sky light,

looking left and right under water.

Speechless, effortless, in wonder.

Every view is something closer to home.

Closer to self.

We are made of mostly water.

I feel it in all my might.

The water, drifting within me,

hot and cold and flowing.

For water is you and me.

Ocean is free.

The Pacific Ocean running free.

Stop moving currents.

You stop you and me.

“Moving ocean, breathe slowly, and talk to me.”

Meditate me.

See me.

INDIVIDUATION

Individuation walking. Individual talking. Inner self.

This self-enquiry has a priority,

For that is loud!

Fragility, for me in my mobility,

And all will shine on self.

You cannot put anything on the shelf
when being the true self.

Walking alone, are you being someone else?

To please the else.

For when nothing else matters,

Individual calmness will come in personalisation.

Purification, satisfaction, over elation of self.

No picture to be something else,

An archetype of past histories.

Past heroes and gods coming to shape the future.

No way, the only way to be the self,

Is not to think about internal, or external, and synchronise.

Try your light that surrounds you.

With a might and flight.

Individuation is a celebration of creation.

BEAT THE HEAT

Today is feeling astray,
as I lay on the beach near wind,
no cardinal sin,
just wind off the Pacific Ocean,
washing with sounds that are profound.
Information all around.

It is in these sounds,
that the light of heat is driving my energy around.
What is it about heat from the sun,
that makes you feel your breath more?
Is it my lore,
the light of spirit guiding imagination,
towards a proclamation.

The wind is also talking to me,
whispering these sounds,
big external waves of communication.
This heat I will beat.
Let go and flow.
Let it find, let it speak.
For wondrous ways can show their ways.
Lines of frequency travel far,
with passing crabs and beef believing.

The heat, the almighty sun,
giving moments of supreme,
reality that finds its way
through fragility.

I will beat the heat with no defeat.
