A haunted war veteran enters Peru’s Amazon searching for the woman he loves, where corruption, Indigenous resistance, and ancient spirits collide.

Synopsis

Rex Wise, a traumatised former soldier struggling to escape the psychological scars of Afghanistan, arrives in Cusco, Peru, intending to marry his fiancée, Clarisa Miaco. But upon arrival, he discovers her father — powerful businessman Jose Miaco — has been brutally murdered under mysterious circumstances.

As Clarisa inherits control of her father’s company and fortune, she becomes trapped within a dangerous web of political corruption, organised crime, and escalating conflict tied to illegal deforestation and land exploitation in the Peruvian Amazon. Refusing to bow to powerful criminal figures connected to the government, Clarisa suddenly disappears.

Left beaten and nearly dead, Rex is thrust back into a world he tried desperately to leave behind — violence, paranoia, survival, and war.

His search for Clarisa pulls him from the streets of Buenos Aires and the shadows of Peru’s cities into the depths of the Amazon rainforest, where Indigenous communities are fighting to protect ancestral lands from destruction. As tensions erupt between corporations, cartels, military forces, and resistance groups, Rex begins to uncover a far deeper spiritual and political conflict hidden beneath the surface.

Haunted by visions, ancient symbols, and the recurring image of a black feather, Rex is forced to confront both the brutality of humanity and the darkness consuming his own mind. But within the chaos, Clarisa becomes more than the woman he loves — she becomes the last light guiding him toward redemption.

Blending political thriller, psychological drama, romance, and spiritual mystery, Dead Feather explores war, trauma, identity, corruption, and humanity’s search for light within darkness.
